Sony Electronics Inc. invites student to apply for the Sony Technology Scholarship, which will award a technology package to five Maricopa Community Colleges students who do not have access to a personal computer. Award packages vary each year; last year it included: VAIO PC notebook, 26″ HD Display, Handycam HD camcorder, Reader Digital Book, 16 GB memory card and HDMI cable.
To be eligible, applicants must:
1. Currently not own a desktop, laptop or notebook computer.
2. Explain financial need.
3. Have completed at least one semester at a Maricopa Community College.
4. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
5. Currently be a full-time student (12 credit hours or more during the Spring 2013 semester).
6. Be a U.S. citizen.
Preference is given to students majoring in computer science, mathematics, engineering or other technology programs.
