GCC and the Maricopa Community Colleges support Exercise is Medicine month in May. We encourage students, faculty and staff to focus on moving more and to take advantage of the classes, programs and facilities at GCC.
Studies prove over and over again that exercise is the best medicine-reducing the risk for heart disease and stroke, lowering blood pressure and cholesterol and stabilizing blood sugar levels. It also helps fight the battle of the bulge and mitigates stress.
To incorporate more exercise into your daily routine try walking or riding a bike to school or work, taking a Heart Walk around campus, joining the Fitness Center or registering for a summer fitness class.
Exercise is medicine, so get your daily dose!
