Job searchers, will your resume get you an interview? And are your interview skills up-to-date? If you answered “no” to either question, attend two job search workshops presented by the GCC Career Services Center in April.
Winning Interview Techniques
So, you received an interview. Now you need the skills to land the job! Presenter Diane Taylor will teach you about the interview process and how to reduce interview stress with effective preparation.
When: 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday, April 22
Build Your Resume
The average hiring manager spends only 15 seconds deciding whether your resume is “thumbs-up” or not. To stand out, you must have a flawless, positive, skillfully-crafted marketing document. Scott Schulz will teach you how to write a resume that markets yourself and increases your job opportunities and earning potential.
When: 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 24
The above workshops are part of the Career, Confidence & Success series, collaboration between GCC Career Services and the Counseling Department. All workshops are free and open to the public.
