In this month’s Second Sunday Concert Series GCC faculty members Chuck and Theresa Hulihan perform music for guitar and flute, 2:30 p.m., Sun., March 10 in MU2-151.
The performers will play music for guitar and flute by composers John W. Duarte (England), Maximo Diego Pujol (Argentina), Celso Machado (Brazil), and Mark Houghton (England), all artists that have either visited and worked with the GCC Music Department or composed for the student ensembles as well as the Hulihans. The concert will feature the world premiere of “Eight Variations and Fugue on an Original Theme” by current GCC student composer and Professor Emeritus, Phil Moloso, who retired from the Math Department, but also served in Business and Library during his tenure. The work is a trio that includes faculty instructor artist Dr. Stefanie Gardner.
