GCC announces the grand opening of the Chrysler Training Center, 8:30 a.m., January 15, in ICB-1. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will kick off the celebration, followed by an introduction of this collaborative program between GCC and Chrysler Group LLC.

Building renovations to ICB-1 began in June, 2012, and classes in the new Chrysler Academy School of Technical Training Center started on October 8 for Chrysler dealership technicians throughout the state.

The partnership enhances and strengthens relationships, leverages resources and provides exceptional student training and education. Glendale Community College offers a Chrysler-sponsored AAS degree, Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP), which includes dealer-sponsored student internships. The Chrysler Corporate Trainers maintain a high level of currency for the CAP Program by providing instructor training, instructional materials and up-to-date information on automotive technological changes. This education/industry partnership prepares a highly skilled workforce to be competitive in the face of rapid technological changes.
